Bozeman Sunroom Addition with Sauna Built Right

This one is a really fun build. A Bozeman homeowner wanted to add a sunroom - and not just any sunroom. They wanted a sauna included too. So we're talking about a dedicated space designed around year-round comfort and relaxation, which honestly is a perfect fit for Montana winters.

Here's what we were working with: a full structural addition framed out from scratch, tight to the existing home. The framing is clean, the roof structure is properly supported, and the whole exterior envelope is wrapped with ZIP System sheathing. That combination of structural panels and integrated weather barrier is the right move for a high-performance addition - it keeps moisture out and gives the finished walls a solid, airtight base to build on.

What makes this kind of addition more involved than people expect is the electrical side of things. A sauna isn't just a furniture swap - it requires dedicated circuit work, proper load calculations, and everything done to code. We handle all of that in-house, so the homeowner doesn't have to coordinate between multiple contractors hoping everything lines up. It gets done right, in one scope of work.

Additions like this are one of our favorite types of projects. You're genuinely expanding the livable footprint of a home - not just updating what's already there. When the framing, sheathing, and rough electrical all go in correctly from day one, everything that follows is so much smoother. The finish work, the insulation, the windows - it all fits the way it should.

Bozeman homeowners are realizing how much value a well-built addition can add, both in daily use and long-term. A sunroom that works in January just as well as July, paired with a private sauna - that's a space you're actually going to use.
